None Of It Means JACK!!

Are you one of them?

Do you scour the earth looking for “the way,” to change your life, reading different sources of information?

None Of It Means JACK!! Holy Bible

None Of It Means JACK!!

Have you read the bible, read the Qur’an, read the Torah, and any other religious text searching for the meaning of life?

Or perhaps you’ve used the internet.

With the internet there is no shortage of advice.

I bet you’ve looked for advice from Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, and maybe even Oprah.

None Of It Means JACK!!

There are countless websites where you can learn to be a better blogger, be a better lover, and lose weight fast. You can even find the secret to success by following 12 steps that have never been revealed before.  Have you been there, done that?

Have you been told to meditate, eat right, exercise, and endless other techniques that are sure to enrich your life?

You can read all you want. Believe in any dream. Get on your knees and pray to the Gods. You can have the faith of Job.

But, if you do not act on anything you’ve read or learned, you ain’t changing nothing.

Faith is an action word.

I’ve witnessed too many people who have read material and who have taken numerous courses in their lives and still haven’t achieved what they wanted. Why? Well, because all that material is meant to only be a foundation.

Reading up on things is great because you then become aware of different kinds of principles. But, you never truly know something until you experience it first hand.

Use a child as an example. You can tell a child not to touch something hot because it will burn them.  But, the child will not truly know what that concept means until he touches the hot object and gets burned.  Then it becomes more than conceptual knowledge.

You can’t just sit around with all that you’ve read and never apply it.

Even if the revelations you received were from going within, through the use of prayer and meditation, you cannot just sit around and use the “faith” card.

Too many people go around claiming, “I have faith.” But the true process of faith is receiving the message (yes, you will be healed, but cut sugar out from your diet) and then applying what you have heard or learned.

You have to choose to go in the direction of your dreams, healing, or change.  Not just idly stand by.

And all it takes is one step.

Take a look at the video below. I’m sure some of you will recognize it. Listen to the lyrics, which I’ve provided below the video, and see if it helps you understand that all you need to do is take a step forward to begin the process of change.

Lyrics

[Speech]

Winter: I really am a mean and despicable creature at heart, you know. It’s so difficult to… [sighs] really change.
Kris: Difficult? [chuckles] Why, why look here. Changing from bad to good’s as easy as…taking your first step.

[Chorus]

Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you’ll be walking ‘cross the floor.
You put one foot in front of the other
And soon you’ll be walking out the door.
You never will get where you’re going
If ya never get up on your feet.
Come on, there’s a good tail wind blowin’
A fast walking man is hard to beat.

[Chorus]

If you want to change your direction,
If your time of life is at hand,
Well, don’t be the rule, be the exception
A good way to start is to stand.

[Chorus]

Winter: If I want to change the reflection
I see in the mirror each morn…
Kris: Oh, you do.
Winter: You mean that it’s just my election?
Kris: Just that.
Winter: To vote for a chance to be reborn? Woo-hoo!

[slowly]

You put one foot in front of the other, and
Soon you are walking
‘Cross the floor
You put one foot in front of the other, and

[a tempo]

Soon you are walking out the door
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you are walking ‘cross the floor
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon…
You’ll be walking…

Out the door!
