Be Neutral In Your Thinking

Every conflict we have is caused by our thinking.

have neutral thoughts

Whatever situation comes into our lives we have a tendency to label it as either good or bad.  When in actuality, everything is neutral.

It might seem as if we live in a world of duality.  But, everything fits together for the highest possible good.

YinYangWe have the light and the darkness.  But neither is better than the other.  They work together to form the whole system of what we call a day.

This concept is called Yin Yang.  Another example is the female (Yin) and the male (Yang).  Neither is better than the other, although some might believe differently.  Without either one of them, our whole system is doomed.

Here’s an excerpt from the Tao Te Ching to illustrate what I mean:

When people see things as beautiful,
ugliness is created.
When people see things as good,
evil is created.
Being and non-being produce each other.
Difficult and easy complement each other.
Long and short define each other.
High and low oppose each other.
Fore and aft follow each other.

Since the perpetual dance of Yin and Yang is always bringing balance to the Universe it is best to step back and detach yourself from what you think you might be seeing.  We are only given what we need to know at any given time.

So, always try to separate your thinking from the situation.
