Shocking Revelation: We’re All Worthy

worthy

There seems to be a trend going on.  Live your passion, do what excites you and try to make a living from it.  In case you’ve forgotten what your passion is there are courses designed to help you find it.

I’m not condemning this latest craze. I think we should all work on our personal development. And there are some useful tips floating around.

Such as:

  • Create a vision statement for yourself and/or your business
  • Set yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily goals
  • Develop habits that will help you to succeed
  • Surround yourself with like-minded people

These are all great tips. However, I think we must first ask ourselves one question before anything else.

Am I Worthy?

What do I mean by this?  Well, if most of us took a backseat to look at how we have lived our lives, we would discover something shocking. We would see a pattern of doing things to gain acceptance.  Most of us suffer from the feeling that we are not worthy.

Living Other People’s Dream

We have been conditioned so much “to get things right,” that we have forgotten what actually makes us happy.

In some cases, our parents try to mold us into mini versions of themselves.  Perhaps they unconsciously try to live the life they wish they had, through us.

Then society sends us the message we should get a good education, get a good paying job, get married, have children, yadda yadda yadda.  You get the point.  We are expected to fit the status quo.

Each time we do not hit the mark a little piece of us dies.  We then strive to do better at doing what everyone expects of us.  Then, we feel less worthy of living our dreams and as we are living other people’s dreams.  What has this caused?

Achievement Over Fulfillment

Job dissatisfaction ranks nearly 80% of all people.

Even those that have succeeded per society’s standards are unfulfilled.  They have the money, the status, the possessions—yet they are totally miserable.

They see a whole string of days ahead of them. Out of bed. Off to work. Watch the clock. Count the hours ‘til the weekend. Rejoice on Friday evening. Lament on Sunday night. Repeat.

They have “success” but no fulfillment.

Good news, we can change the status quo.

How To Feel Worthy

First, stop thinking you need someone else’s permission to be happy.

Here are some signs that you seek others permission:

  • Procrastination in taking action
  • Playing smaller than you know you’re capable of
  • Hiding your achievements (or worse, talk them down)
  • Dialing down your excitement
  • Self-sabotaging behavior

Then, take 100% responsibility for believing you are worthy.

Your worth does not come from anyone else.  No one can grant you permission for you to live your dreams.  You must decide to take a stand for your own life.

Worth comes from within.

Finally, claim it!

Do some introspection and ask yourself some serious questions.  Dig deep and find out what your values are, what do you really want?  Become a Self-Expert

Then speak it into existence.

You can say aloud, “I give myself permission to (what you want).

Or, use the process Tony Robbins uses in his “Date With Destiny” seminars.”

He has his participants say line “I (your name) feel, hear, and know that I am (worthy, loved..).”

Do you want to know something?

We’re All Worthy

Just the fact that you are alive makes you worthy.

There are no other requirements.

But, you must believe it for yourself.
