Live Your Legend Writing Challenge

liveyourlegendwritingchallenge

Hi Folks.

I started a writing challenge over at Live Your Legend. It’s a free 7-day email course to help you build a successful writing habit in 10-20 minutes a day.

It includes new writing prompts each day focused on helping you find your passions & do work you love. Here is the first prompt.

Write a few sentences about your story/background, why you decided to start a blog and what you hope to get out of it. Add in something unique and interesting from your story too.

First off let me say that I have written in a journal since I was in my teens. I might have slacked here and there but I have a pretty good writing habit. In fact, journaling is part of the reason why I started blogging. I wanted to share my writing with more than just my journal.

Here is my story thus far.

As a child, I was considered timid and shy. These characteristics carried over into adulthood, but I chose to describe them more as being reserved and observant.

I have always been known to be a caretaker and peacemaker, and I have always been willing to help people out whenever possible.

I have worked with several agencies to help provide people with disabilities innovative services and opportunities to achieve personal success.

After sustaining injuries from an accident, I have had to draw from my experience and use adaptations I implemented with my clients on himself.

My accident has also been an eye-opening experience and helped me to do some self-refection.

I realize I want to make a difference in the world and help people to realize that life is based on your perceptions and beliefs.

I’m still somewhat timid and shy, oops, I mean reserved and observant. But, I’m learning to step out of my comfort zone in order to be the change I want to see in the world.

As Marianne Williamson points out, we are powerful beyond measure.
