April 2, was adopted by the United Nations in 2007 to shine a bright light on autism as a growing global health priority.

~

Every year on World Autism Awareness Day, Autism Speaks celebrates its international “Light It Up Blue” campaign.

People with autism are often stigmatized. This can be devastating because all they want is inclusion and the opportunity to achieve the highest possible quality of life.

Let’s embrace a new perspective.

Let’s raise awareness and work towards ensuring acceptance and inclusion in schools and communities that results in true appreciation of the unique aspects of all people.

Let’s make a society where those with ASDs are truly valued for their unique talents and gifts.

If you’d like to continue to support our community throughout the month
