Honoring The Life Of My Baby Girl

Honoring my Baby Girl.

Baby Girl

I’ve said it before, everything happens for a reason.  I’m holding on to this belief as I say goodbye to my baby girl, Madeline.

My Baby Girl

I’ve had fifteen long years with my beloved baby girl Madeline.  We have been through a lot.  Through it all she has been by my side.  Always faithful and sharing her unconditional love.

Farewell Baby Girl

Pets truly are the best example of unconditional love.

There were times I might have been neglectful.  Too busy with the madness in my mind, I’d forget to pet her, kiss her, or show her how much I loved her.  It didn’t matter.  When I snapped out of it and went to her, she was right there, ready and willing.  Never holding a grudge.

I mean this with the deepest of my understanding.  Even if I scolded her, she never denied me her love.  She was always there for me.

My Baby Girl Knew Me

She and I had a bond beyond anything I can explain.  At times, we had this non-verbal way of communicating.  When I was happy, she was right there to join in.  Wagging here little nub.  Full of excitement and enthusiasm.  If I was sad, she knew it.  And if I happened to be crying, she was right there licking away my tears.  She taught me so much.

5 Things My Dog Showed Me To Live A Better Life

She wasn’t the only pet to teach me stuff.  Oddly, this is not the only pet I have lost this year.  On March 13, 2016 my beloved Chyna had to be put down.  I wrote a post about the things her life has taught me.  You can read it here, but here are just 5 of the things she taught me.

  1. Fearlessness:  You have to make the decision to go for what you want.
  2. Forgiveness:  Forgiveness is like letting go of a sack of burdens you’ve been carrying around everywhere you go.
  3. Lovingness:  Live with the love of life in your heart.  Just like Peter Pan.
  4. Joyfulness:  Be more joyful and you will experience more joy.
  5. Gratefulness:  When you have a grateful heart the doors to abundance will be flung wide open.

Everything For A Reason

I don’t know why this has happened.  I could be bitter and wallow in self pity.  However, I’m choosing to focus on the wonderful experiences I have gained from my baby girl.  I made a video to share some of those with you now.  I hope you enjoy it and remember to honor the life of those who leave us instead of focusing on the lose.  Giving and sharing is the reason for life.  It creates memories that last for an eternity.

Do you agree that life is about what you give? Feel free to share in the comments section below.  We would love to hear what you gotta say.
